Ten of us girls headed out to Palm Springs to celebrate my very dear and long time friend Helena Tamargo. She’s my favorite little firecracker and is a sister to me, so I’m glad I was able to go! Some of the girls I’ve known for years, others I’ve met only once or twice, and the rest I met for the first time. It was an interesting mix of fun, hard-working ladies who all had a common interest of letting loose for the weekend. Helena’s friend Melody brought us all the cutest goodie bags filled with face masks, aspirin in case of any hangover, makeup, snacks, face wipes, and anything else we would probably need for the few days we were there. The house was absolutely beautiful, big props to Helena for finding and booking it! It was decorated super retro style which gave us the ultimate Palm Springs vibe. We had the amazing Alyssa help serve us all the most incredible meals-deliciously displayed, good enough for the best restaurant in town (she’s a professional food stylist)! Dimirra brought her expensive camera and took some beautiful pictures. Christina, Helenas’s sister, had me laughing the entire trip and it was good to spend time with her too. Sasha did mushrooms for the first time so that alone is awesome. She had a very deep, positive experience that she’ll always remember!
Helena is my girl and always will be. LOVE YOU BOO! Thanks for the good times, always!
I had the chance to fly up to San Jose to assist the very talented Morgan Bricca, Muralist Extraordinaire! She really was the sweetest, and was so open about her experiences as an Artist. I appreciate the time I got to spend with her.. She’s a special soul who continues to grow everyday and has such a great attitude towards life. What a blessing! She set me up with her neighbor, Anh, a vietnamese hairstylist with a gorgeous Airbnb. Anh and her husband made me feel at home, inviting me to meals and wine..top notch hospitality! Take a look at some photos I took of her property. They have a chicken coop, bee hives, a tennis court, pool, and a bicycle she lent me to ride around town whenever I needed!
It was such a fun time..plenty of drinks, food, and sun. We stayed at the Pacifica Pueblo Bonito Resort – one of three sister resorts. We were able to visit all of them and each had a different vibe. Pacifica is definitely the most high-end, but Rosa was old school Mexico with lounge chairs on the beach and waiters at your service! The beach was perfect, exactly what you would expect laying on the sand with a view of the teal blue water. We took a walk and found a restaurant called the Office, which turned out to be the best Mexican food spot we could find! It had the freshest seafood, tastiest guacamole, and also served us cold coronas in a bucket of ice. You can’t beat the ambiance there either! Party Central!
I highly recommend this resort for anyone wanting a lot of R&R! There was plenty to do from riding ATVs and whale watching, to Parasailing and snorkeling. I hit the spa for a massage and facial, which was super awesome and much-needed! 🙂 The food was excellent and the customer service was top notch. It was a blast and cannot wait to visit again!
My last weekend in Chile was one of the best trips ever. Longtime friends from High School took me to a place called Los Molles – about 45 minutes North of my favorite beach Maitencillo. We got a house right at the beach with an ocean view for a fraction what you’d pay in California. No wifi, no TV – Just friends, alcohol, food, and music. Nothing to do but hang out with each other, talk , dance, and cook. We shut off the world and enjoyed being in a beautiful place with good people…something everyone should do once in awhile!
